Finished TSHOOT on Sunday. Feels good. I procrastinated way too much. Don't be like me!

The Boson ExSim-Max served me well, especially for TSHOOT. Highly recommend for exam preparation.
Reading - CCNP ROUTE/SWITCH simplified. The ROUTE book is good. SWITCH not so much. CLN, TE, other blogs, etc.
Videos - Chris Bryant. Great videos. Overkill for TSHOOT and BGP, but helpful nonetheless.
Labs - Used the official lab manuals, as well as Boson Netsim. I would NOT recommend buying Netsim.

Worth noting, I have 3 years experience in enterprise so most information wasn't new to me. I've already started reading OCG for CCIE. So much for taking a break from studying.

Good luck to everyone studying!

Is the output like this normal?
What is the difference if I put no auto-summary vs auto-summary in discontiguous network?
Will the packets just go both ways?
Does it affect pinging or QoS in any way?
I only know that I have to put it to no auto-summary to be "safe"

I'm not sure if this is the right place to be posting this but I'm in a bit of a bind.

I currently work as a sys admin for a fairly large government entity and I work with servers day in day out, that's what I'm employed to do, I don't get to touch the networking side at all which gets a little annoying as networking is my true passion in IT (feels weird to say that). I really want to break back into networking, I enjoy what I do and I'm lucky to have such a good job but I really miss scrolling through configs and bashing my head against the keyboard when I can't figure out why I can't get packets from A to B :P

My issue is this, am I wasting my time trying to get my CCNP? The driver behind it for me is the hope that if I'm seen to be working toward this goal (and hopefully achieving it) that the networking team will possibly take me on at some point. I also just want to conquer the CCNP as I love a challenge and like I said I miss playing with Cisco gear.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi guys,

According to cisco press book, below items are present in OSPF hello messages:

■ OSPF Router ID
■ Stub area flag
■ Plus the following interface-specific settings:
■ Hello interval
■ Dead Interval
■ Subnet mask
■ List of neighbors reachable on the interface
■ Area ID
■ Router priority
■ Designated Router (DR) IP address
■ Backup DR (BDR) IP address
■ Authentication digest

What do they mean with 'list of neighbors reachable on the interface' ?
If R1 sends hello packet to R2 through S0/0, only neighbor on that interface is R2... or it will be...

Am I getting this right?

So I finally have a gig where I can get my hands a little dirtier on the Networking side of things. I have decided to pursue the CCNP and discovered Jeremy's micro nugget here:
MicroNugget: Building a CCNP Home Lab - YouTube

He mentions including a 3640 for Frame Relay and having a central hub. Could I use a 3725 with a NM-4T instead?

My employer has most of the equipment on Jeremy's list just not the 1841s and the 3640 so since we already have the 3725, it would be nice.

I also wouldn't mind hearing some opinions on what everyone thinks of Jeremey's choices on that nugget.

Thanks for the suggestions guys and gals. I'm looking forward to getting this going.
