Hi there.

Im 33 years old and am currently pursuing RHCSA and am well along the way. I plan to complete RHCE by July end. I want to have a career as a Linux Admin and am thinking of pursuing a storage or virtualization cert next.

Ive got a passion for Infosec and want to volunteer my skills to the local Law Enforcement and Cyber Crime Bureaus in India. Would a CEH help ? Im also interested in Malware Analysis but have no idea where to start. What pre-requisites do you think are needed to start on Malware Analysis. I know my way around perl and python and have knowledge of Java. I havent coded in a long time. Also do you think a CEH or Malware Analysis skills would help a RHCE ?

Ultimately, down the line, Im looking at moving to Infosec full time.

Regards,

Hey all,

Just curious on the knowledge gap between the two. I intend to take Linux+ after getting my CCNA and then move onto RHCSA.

If people could give a time frame or percentage of difference between the two, that'd be great.

Example: Network+ is about 75% of the CCENT. Linux+ is about __% of RHCSA

Thanks

I am a little confused as how to create a server and multiple clients in virtualbox and vmware. Could someone please give me a little nudge in the right direction? I'm just starting to set up this lab so I can practice studying. If there is any online documentation on how to create this simple lab it would be greatly appreciative :). Thank you

Hi Everyone,

I am a Linux newbie but i have always wanted to learn a lot more. I have a background in windows sysadmin and Cisco networking. I am looking at a few community colleges around the area and online ,they are redhat virtual academies they offer a Linux certificate course plan which is supposed to take you from zero to RHCE. The classes are all online and i was wondering if anyone had experience with these classes.

It is community college registering and getting information from advisers is like pulling teeth in some cases, i would appreciate if anyone could share their experience with this path.

Hello all,

I'm taking the RHCSA in about a week and I feel I'm pretty well prepared already, having used the Jang and Tommassino books. But I'd like to go through some more questions that may be indicative of what's on the exam or at least what's covered by the exam objectives.

Any recommendations for a few decent sites would be very much appreciated! And nope, not looking for anything naughty like illegal exam dumps, just Qs that experienced sys admins have put together themselves.

Thanks!
