I was curious if anyone used The Offical CEH review guide by Steven Defino for your exam prep and what you thought about it. I just started studying for the CEH about a month ago. In addition to Definos book I have the AIO by Matt Walker, the CEH study guide by Kimberly Graves, and am also using the Ec Councils self paced I learn. I have been going back and forth between them all to try to get a grasp on the best way to break down my studying. The Ec Councils courseware is ok but it seems like its pretty vague. I really like the AIO and Graves book. After I read the Chapters I can answer the practice questions pretty easy.(Maybe that's why I like them :D ) However with Definos book it seems like some of his questions come out of left field. He does say in the beginning of his book that he does some of that on purpose to simulate what the exam tends to be like. I was just getting a little frustrated with it because it doesn't seem as straight forward as the other two.Maybe there was a reason for that? So I was just curious if anyone used his book what you thought about it. I'd appreciate any feedback. I,m preparing for CEH exam but came to know that version 8 is out now. I am using CBT nuggets to start of my study and then I will jump to books. but unfortunately all the material I got is for V7 exam.

Please can you tell me what topics are included or removed in V8 exam of CEH? and from where i can get the latest syllabus?

I took a C|EH prep class as part of my major at UMUC. For the course materials, we used the iLabs from EC Council as well as 3/5 of the EC Council Press books.
The books I used were :
1/5 : Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures : Attack Phases
3/5 : Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures : Web Applications and Data Servers
4/5 : Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures : Linux, Macintosh and Mobile Systems

Has anyone else used these before and also taken the test? I would like to hear some feedback on them and the iLabs. I also have an e-version of the AIO and access to the CBT Nuggets.

The plan is to get my CNDA after I get the C|EH. Cengage offers vouchers, but they are only for v7, so I am not sure how much of this material is on v7 vs v8

The CEH V8 course was going to start on 27th of May and i paid my complete fee including exams. On 27th they told that CEH V8 has been delayed to 15th of June and said they will send me books in few days.

Now they sent me CEH V7 books, and now after that when i called them, they switched off their phones ( from past 1 week ) and they stopped replying to the emails.

Even in internet their are few scam related complaints against them.

They are official CEH ATC for India and that's why i decided to pay beforehand.

I even laid complaint to CEH but no reply from them either.

Now i have been thinking to lay police complaint against both EC Counsil and that company or go to Courts against EC Counsil :!:

What am i supposed to do ? Please guide me.
