I graduated from a university a few years ago, but haven't yet started getting certifications. Recently, my manager suggested I begin this process and I've decided to go for ITIL. I have a question regarding how the certification scheme works past the Foundation level. I am aware that for the higher-level certifications I need to complete appropriate training before actually taking the exam. Is it possible to complete training at a training organization licensed by one examination institute, but complete the actual exam under a different EI?

I'm currently in training for the Foundation certification at itSM Solutions, which is accredited under CSME, but I'm looking at other training providers for the intermediate certifications. For various reasons, I don't prefer webcam proctored exams and would much rather go to a testing facility. For testing using one of these facilities, CSME is the best option as they have a location minutes from my home.

I'm a bit new to certifications, so the question may seem a bit odd to those who have been at this a while.

Hi Guys,

Been the quiet reader of this forum for a few years now.

I've passed ITIL-F exam today in Singapore (took it at PearsonVUE) with the score of 34/40 (85%).

3. A lot of other references (including CISA All-in-one Guide by Peter H. Gregory)
4. Free Practice Exams I've downloaded from some random sites
Next up is CISA, on 8th June 2013!

Hi ,

I have already cleared the entry/ foundation exam ITIL 2011 with 38/40 score and now looking for intermediate level . I checked /google and found this help area so i am posting my question here

1) I known traning is required for the exam ( intermediate ) so what traning is good ( class room / online virtual class) ?

2) If i select the option like online /course only than how do i get the actual exam done ? i saw APMG-Network in the Proctor Now option but i am not comfortable on this option

3) I short listed

Try Simplilearn.com. They have APMG accedited elarning course for both streams.

but they offer Proctor exam but i need to go to centre and give it properly .

Thanks
Ali

Went through 1/2 the training modules in the Thought Rock package, did practice tests from that book and Thought Rock and put all the concepts together. There's a lot of vocab memorization, but understanding the relations between everything as well.
