Just found this site and registered. I'm scheduled for the CISA June exam in Toronto. I took and failed exam several years ago so here's to a fresh start! I'm using the CRM (need to work on this much more by keeping awake) and the online questions DB. I wanted to take an online course but I think its a bit late for that now. I've been studying since March but had to stop for a couple of weeks and started again yesterday. I'm half thinking of delaying it till Sept or Dec., but then there's never going to be a 'good' time lol.......

Hello,
I will be sitting for the CISM examp in September, but have been working as an IT Security manager for the past 5 to 6 years. Does anyone know if I can use my past work experience towards the CISM certfication? The cism site makes it sound like the experience has to come after the date of applicatoin or passing of the exam.

"The work experience must be gained within the
10-year period preceding the application date for certification or within 5
years from the date of originally passing the exam."

Hello, I've signed up for the CISM exam in September. However, due to some budget cuts at workplace, I have a feeling some of the senior staff may be leaving the company. In order to make sure I get all my information while my boss is still with the company, does anyone if it is possible to get him to sign my work experience prior to me taking the exam in September?

Hi, I've registered for the June CISM exam. Following advice on this forum, I've decided to shell out the money for the official review manual and Q&A database. The database is a great tool, but the review manual is very, very dry reading. It's well structured, but I it's really tough to read from cover to cover. Did anyone try a CBT such as CBTnuggets? If so, was it worth the money and did it help in preparing for the exam? Are there any good study notes or summaries of the CISM material? Anyone else here registered for the June CISM exam?

Dear all,

I've already requested ISACA study guide however due to miss-communication with Fedex they've returned my package to ISACA and they'll have to re-ship it. which will arrive (1) week before the exam.....

Regards
