I'm trying to figure out if this is a misprint in the book or an actual error. I'm working on managing disk quotas and in my lab simulations the Sybex book instructs me to create a quota of 5 MB on a drive with a warning level of 4MB. I set these options and also put check marks in the logging options. When I copy a file larger than 5MB it gives me a "destination drive is full" message but no warning at the 4MB mark. Is this a warning the end-user is supposed to see? The book says it is but I can only view the warning as a log entry.
AFAIK it's only a warning in the event log on the server, not for the client. You will also see the "warning" in the Disk Quota management window. The only thing the client sees is the "Destination drive full" message.
