    Default test advice needed

I got the Michael Meyers CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide
The way the book works he splits the 801 in one section and in the same chapter has 802

Could i pass the 801 test if i studied only the 801 sections in each chapter in the book then watch all the Professor Messer's 801 material. Then take the 801 test, then go back to the book and read all the 802 material ?

Possibly. However, there is crossover between the 801 and 802 materials.

If you plan on taking the exams separately (and many people do), you might be better served if you read the entire book to comprehend the material, and then focused on the exams. This might also help you in the long term to make sure you understand the material.

Good luck. Feel free to post questions about any topics that aren't clear.
