Default I'm going in! 802 friday!

I just found out the testing center closest to me is closed for the summer as of next week, so I bit the bullet and scheduled the 802 for friday.

I do feel reasonably comfortable with the material, but a little more revision would have been nice. So far I've tried Boson exam A (80%), B (80%) C (89%)

Do you think I should spend what little time I have going through the questions I got wrong or should I take another exam. (I still have three I haven't tried yet)

*gulp*

I would focus on why you got the questions wrong that you got wrong on the practice exams, then go for it!

Man I hate that. Hire some flunkies to be there for the summer, I need my certs!

I concur, go over the questions you missed to understand why you got them wrong. Just remember to watch the clock and try not to spend to much time on the sims. You'll do fine and you picked the best day to take a test. It's always better to on a Friday after a pass!

Like others have said, go over the questions you missed and read the explanation, understand why you missed the question and why the correct answer is correct. Go ahead and review the answers to questions you got right, too.

This is my primary means of study around a day before my exams. I'll do all the practice questions I have and review the answers, whether I answered the question correctly or not.

If the 802 practice tests are similar to the ones for ICND1 and 2, Boson was pretty good about giving detailed explanations and mimicking the difficulty of the real exam questions.

Best of luck to you.

P.S. - Be able to subnet fast!

Mission Accomplished, Target Eliminated.

I got absolutely hammered with sims/simlet type questions in the beginning and was seriously about to start crying when I had spent 1 hour on the first 4 questions. After that it went a bit more smoothly until I got some really weird questions towards the end of the exam. I did however end up with rediculously good score, though part of it was probably more proficiency in guessing than cisco knowledge.

CBT nuggets and Boson were both awesome for this.

Alright, I'm back home.
Thanks to all on this forum in general and for the words of encouragement in particular! I took everyone's advice and scrutinized the answers I got wrong. Most of the answers in exam A and B, I realized I now knew well (I took these a while ago). I had three really weak areas:

1: Wireless
2: EIGRP and some of the finer points of RIP
3: Subnet masks - This was really a surprise to me. I know subnetting really well, which obviously has made me over-confident and thus caused me to make silly mistakes. I made a mental note to write down a "128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1" on a piece of paper and force myself to "count up" the subnet mask.

I didn't think I would have time to do any more of the Bosons, but the the review above took surprisingly little time. On Boson D and E, I scored well into the 90's (study mode so I could Immediately check my answer) I also did the CLI sim on exam F. (You get one CLI sim per exam I think)

I actually ended up scoring higher on the actual exam than on the Bosons, and the Bosons are probably slightly harder. On a couple of questions I must have been just lucky though (there was one where I seriously considered punching the monitor)

I just now ordered the CCNP exam cert library and command guides. I plan to use these and nuggets for my CCNP pursuit Do the exams that come with the certification library have the same detailed explanations as the CCNA Boson?

*catches breath*

That's from the A-team right

Interesting Fact: In Swedish, the poor souls you see on park benches are sometimes referred to as "A-teamers" (directly translated) I have no idea of the etymology behind this.

The more you know...
