You have to have the CCENT (exam 100-101) as well to earn the CCNA Security designation

1 - But, you have to be CCENT or CCNA certified to take that exam.

So if I have no Cisco certs at all I can take 100-101 ICND1 and 640-554 IINS and that will give me my CCNA Security certification?

Yes, once you have the 100-101 ICND1 (CCENT), you can then take 640-554 IINS. Without the ICND1, you can't take the 640-554.

    Awesome!

I was going to take Storage+ to renew my A+, Network+ and Security+. But the CCNA Security will do that and is more valuable to my career that all CompTIA certs put together.
