    Is this useful to have when studying for the CCNA security?

    The PIX was replaced by the ASA unit. That said fundamentally the work the same but the software commands are different. IF you look over the exam objectives you will see that the PIX unit is not covered.

    Now that you said that I think I remember seeing that PIX is not covered. Bummer, those devices are very cheap.
