    Angry CCNP Route : 630/1000

I've always been a campus switching man, since 2010....Boy did I have a bad day.

    Network principles: 83%
    Layer 2 technologies: 50%
    Layer 3 technologies: 59%
    VPN technologies: 33%
    Infrastructure security: 43%
Infrastructure services: 31% - I felt like this was twenty questions of the 48 I had. Honestly WTF is EVN?!!?!!

Can't help but feel like I studied for something completely different than what I was tested on. I admit I did very little labbing although I do possess a CCIE lab at home and beat EIGRP into up. I had experience with OPSF from 8 years of being the hands on guy. Always the one called in.

    I retake DEC 12....

    How do I unF*** this?

If you were suprised by EVN, I'm guessing you haven't looked at the blueprint for the exam. It shows what you might be tested on in each section and how much each section is worth for the exam:

    https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/co...v2/exam-topics
    2018: CCIE Written (R/S) (done - Jan), CCIE R/S
    After that: MBA, OSCP

Well you get a chance to redo it again. You just have to invest the time to thoroughly understand the concepts.

I will probably work on all of these

    Layer 2 technologies: 50%
    Layer 3 technologies: 59%
    VPN technologies: 33%
    Infrastructure security: 43%
    Infrastructure services: 31%

Good luck with the next exam.

Yeah, I don't think the proper amount of time was taken to review the exam objectives.

Yea man what old ccnp route book did you read? EVN is a newer iteration of vrf lite. It basically trunks the tagged vrfs over. Theres a whole section on it in OCG.
