So on Tuesday I decided to take the 284 exam this Thursday. While I am not as prepared as I would like to be, I am not totally unprepared either. I really would like another month to get ready for the test, but I also want to take advantage of the second shot so I need to take this test and 285 by the end of May. With a little luck I feel I can pass both, but I am willing to retake the tests in June if not. The other reason for the rush is I need to start on an Exchange 2007 migration plan for my company and I wanted to pass the 2003 exams before I moved on to learning 2007.
I am almost finished with the Sybex 284 study guide and I still have the Exam Cram 2 to review tonight. More importantly I already have a 2003 MCSE and I feel I have a solid grasp of the core exam topics. I also have 5 years experience with Exchange 2003 (which began with a migration from 5.5 to 2003 way back in August 2003) and have been our lead Exchange admin for the last three years.
If you have any last-minute advice, I would appreciate hearing it. I'm not really looking for specifics or a list of the exam objectives, but rather a suggestion about a topic or two on which I should spend some extra study time tonight. Something like 'be sure to understand 5.5-2003 migration strategies' or 'know how to manage public folders' would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance!
