Default Trying to create a new mailbox for users in exchange

Trying to create a new mailbox for users in exchange

somehow i have got two databases and im trying to get rid of one of them

When im creating my new mailbox i am getting load balancing failed to find a valid mailbox database - i noticed i have two mailboxes however one used to be on a server that I no longer have...

when i open up powershell to try and use the clean feature, get-mailboxdatabase | cleanmailboxdatabase
i get: Couldn't clean the database that you specified. Specified database: Mailbox Database 2082627486; error code: mapiexceptionnetworkerror: unable to make admin interface connection to the server

How can i remove this old database so that I can create a mailbox?

What version of exchange are you running? You said power shell so I am assuming its version 2010 but just wondering.

You're mailbox database is most likely not provisioned for adding any new mailboxes to it. You'll need to use a PowerShell command to verify if your database is in fact excluded.

    Take a look here.
