If I can put in the effort and have the time, I'll take a shot at the VCDX in Oct 2015. Apart from this, maybe the VCP: NV.

Don't have the need/desire for any more certs at this stage of my career. Any other TE'ers at a similar stage?
VCDX: DCV - Round 2 rescheduled (by VMware) for December 2017.

I'm there on the infrastructure side, but as I transition into InfoSec, I have a few I would like to add. At this stage I'm more interested in completing a bachelors degree and moving onto a masters.

Assuming I finish my CCNA: Security before '15, I've got Linux+ and a SQL cert for next year to complete my degree at WGU. After that, I'm really not sure. I work at a remote MSP that does a lot of sys admin things, so maybe I hit up some Microsoft certs (Server 2008/2012, Exchange etc.). Any ideas?

Gonna stay a bum. They don't have certs for stuff I'm interested. If I run into a cool design, I might take another shot at VCDX.

Well... if I can get my CCNA + CCNA Sec this year...
Would like to engage in CCNP for 2015, WCNA and would be really awesome If I could get GNFA or/and the SANS FOR572 course/cert.

Yep, career goal is Network Forensics.

2014 was kind to me. I passed CISA, CISSP, CISM, Security+ and CCNA. For 2015, I'll concentrate on my career as a security analyst and study work related projects like PCI-DSS, SIEMS, FIM, McAfee security tools and if time permits start graduate school. I won't be taking any certs until further notice.

Congrats. Too bad that one is happening before the others. It will make accomplishing everything after much harder

If I'm healthy. Finally graduate, I have been putting it off for too long (priority)

    Get the following
    CCNP R&S (priority)
    VCP5-DCV (priority)
    VCP-NV (maybe)

Begin with CCNP Security or Datacenter after the summer. Again if I'm healthy.

I might probably get ITIL too.

Probably not a realistic list as life turns to get in the way, but i will give it my very best.

Hopefully if all goes well next week, I'll be shooting for a second CCIE next year Probably SP as it has the most overlap with R&S. Maybe renew my Juniper certs too

Thanks Zxbane! I also followed your CISSP thread, it's refreshing to know people on the board are achievers.

2015 should be an interesting year... planning to do a ton of non-certification related research, but here are the cert goals I have for 2015 based on technologies I'll be directly working with.

    Q1
    -MapR Hadoop Certified Professional Administrator
-Puppet Professional Certification (taking the class)
-MCSA 2012 (need to learn new OS and Active Directory)

    Q2
-VMware VCAP5-DCA (already took the class)

    Q3
-VMware VCAP5-DCD (already took the class)

    Q4
-SNIA Certified Storage Engineer (need to upgrade my storage knowledge)
-Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer Silver (need to do some ruby development)
Last edited by darkerosxx; 11-18-2014 at 02:06 PM. Reason: removed Openshift, that was a dumb goal
