I would wager that there are still some acceptance emails that are going to go out. Basing this on both the previous community manager statement about emails going out late this week/early next week and off of their previous emails to the October candidates to take the final questionnaire. They seem to break this up into smaller waves.

I didn't get an acceptance email yet, so I am hoping that this is the case.

Congrats to those accepted! Nothing yet here. Only checked one box on the last email. Scored a 97 on the assessment. If I don't get selected for the first round I'll just focus on my current studying and not worry about it.

Congrats. I am disappointed for me, but proud for the TE members that got in. Please let us know how you do. I've got to get back to the woodshed on my GPEN now.

It looks like they pulled names out a hat so to speak, I don't see any common factor with those accepted.
Congrats to everyone who got it.

    Didn't get an email yet

Glad to see at least some people on TE got it. In a way, it's closure. Not that big a deal anyway, my work would pay for this cert since I'm a junior SOC analyst.

Congrats to everyone who got it.
Hope they are not pulling just a random 10,000 names out of those who received the email at the end of October or passed the assessment. I really want this since I am still in school, and I am cheap lol

If they are not doing it randomly, I would venture to guess they are putting people in groups based on what checkboxes they checked in the last survey and then comparing the people within groups by their score to see who gets accepted. While evenly accepting the number of people from each of those different groups from survey so that they have a good distribution of the type of people who are getting accepted.

But I just made all that up and who the he77 knows!

I'm pretty stoked. I received my email this morning. I applied sometime in June, had 3 checkmarks on the last assessment (Security+, Female, Under 5 years of IT experience) and scored a 25.5/30.

I just think they are looking for less qualified people. I don't even care about the cert as much as I want to figure out the criteria they are using based on the limited info they have out there lol.

Im gonna take it now. Wish me luck......but not too much lol

    UPDATE: 19/30!!!!! damn I'm good
Lol got the finalist email. Guess they are just randomly picking ha ha

I can't recall, but wasn't there some talk of using demographics as a way to narrow the pool? As in, people from other states (US) or countries. I know we don't want to list PII, but maybe that is what is being used. It would seem strategic so they wouldn't risk having say everyone in California certified, but the rest of the world isn't. You have to spread it around to grow the hype.

By the way, no response from Learning@Cisco for me yet.

    goodwork! and congrats!

I didnt make the cut and I registered with two different emails. Maybe I have too much experience? I am half way done with CCNP security and more than 12+ years networking and security.

Please update us on the next steps and what they have you doing

Cisco more than likely gives vets high priority and then prob women.

    I'm a vet
    have a couple Cisco certs
    3+ yrs experience
    27/30 on test

Basically, I have enough experience to be able to take the next step into security.
