    A+ at the tender young age of 25. I should've started this much earlier (say 19 or so) . I've pretty much grown-up with computers and I've worked (in a professional sense) with them since I was 19.

    23 = Windows NT Workstation 4.0

    Then, I failed the Windows 95 Exam 3x and the A+ 2x...

    Talk about a career stopper

    I roughly calculated the average over the first 68 responses and it seems people get their first IT cert around the age of 25.

    Wow I think I hold the record for youngest certified person
    on Techexams (I Think) lol...

    Johan I hate to throw a dampner on your average but any who...

    A+ Net+ @ 13
    MCSE @ 17
    CCNP @ 4 days before i turned 20

    Trying to get CCIE before I turn 22 so that way I'll be CCIE @ 21

    And for the record I've never failed an exam as well as all test I've taken,
    I've gotten at least a 90%+ on all them with only a week or less studying.

    I feel like people will read this and think I'braggin but I was kinda directed
    into computers at the age of 7 lol... While most kids played with Lego, I played
    with soldering irons lol... and yes I have a few scars to prove it lol...

    Alot of people wonder how I do what I do with such ease. Well for one, it's because I started at such a young age, when I learnt most of the electronics and technology concepts to build a strong foundation, so it was like my other native language. Scientist have proven you learn over 30% of all the knowledge you retain during your development stages. infant - 10 or so. I guess you can say computers and technology is my other language.

    I've replied to some ones private message and he ask me how I do it, its because I have the ability to learn technology topics really fast, I can be shown/told somthing one time and I'd never have to be shown/told agian.

    Yes, I am a part time teacher at a local technical college, and I've worked in the telecommunications (ISP) field for about 2 years now give or take.
