Do they really talk like this? That's really weird.

Yeah, no kidding. Now I've got to find the last batch of PrepLogic Mega Guides that I bought (and never read) last time so I don't buy any duplicates this time!

This is why I never put in a real phone number for sites like this. Made that mistake once, never again. I usually use a combination of my home phone and cell phone. Keeps the pressure sales calls to a minimum.

And somewhere, somebody who owns that number is wondering WTF!

I'm guilty as charged though, at least with e-mail - if there is a bob@aol.com he is NOT happy with me.

I just used her number when I got mine, so it all balances out.

The problem is that is not one time $99 as you believe. Those $99 turn magically into $1,612.95 at the end of the invoice.
Here is the topic at social.technet.microsoft.com very interesting read.

    I got stung by Preplogic

the "fun" part starts in the middle of the thread.

I can't speak for anyone else's experiences, but DoubleD's email makes it very clear that this is a 30-day evaluation and you have to cancel to avoid further charges. There's nothing magic about the $1,612.95 price tag.
