    Need motivation.
Got a decent background, certs but my title and salary still crappy.
Finishing CCNP r&s by the end of january and thinking about DA/DP by the end of the year..

Still dreaming about moving to another country, still knowing that it would be tough.
    2017 - CCIE RS

    Immediate future: Linux+, 70-680
    February '14: Finish my A.S.

...then CCNA, MCSA Server 2012. It's open from there. Might go deeper into Linux if my job requires it, otherwise I'll wait and see what I need to know for work. I have an interview with a major company here in Indianapolis for an IT Operations position coming up, and if I get that job, it will dictate what path I take.

Here are my plans for 2014:
    • MCTS 70-685 First half of January completing my MCITP - Enterprise Desktop Technician Cert
    • 70-410 - Beginning of March
    • 70-411 - End of April
    • 70-412 - Beginning of June
    • MCSA: Windows Server 2012
    • Security+ - Middle of July
    • VMWare Certs
    • Maybe ITIL
I am unsure of the last 2 currently, the first ones are fairly well planned out with the company I am currently working for. As they are paying for the books and the training I cannot really complain all that much.

    CCIE R/S Lab - May 28th

Hard to say after that as I need to pass that first.

Assuming I do, then I'll probably go shoot for either another CCIE or refresh my MCSE up to 2012.

That, or VMWare or something. I really don't know. More IE level stuff would be good.

SWITCH by the end of January...
ROUTE by the end of May...
TSHOOT by the end of June.

If I can crank CCNP out this year I'll be happy. I would also like to try for CCDA as well, but we'll see how things go!

I'm going for these hopefully for 2014. I'd like to get more but we'll see. I currently have no certifications but work as Helpdesk Technician I. I'd like to get to the 60-70k range by 2014. Hopefully, 65k next year after 75k+.

Hopefully I'll get the CCIE written out of the way before 2013 ends, then work on the lab throughout 2014.

Should that end well, either CCDA/CCDP or CCNP:Security most likely.

I'm shooting for CCENT in Feb. then CCNA by May. Hopefully CWNA during the second half of the year.

    Thanks.

The SPSE, OSCP and CEH are my primary goals.

With the holidays I think my SPSE studies will take me into January. Then I'll jump right into the OSCP with a deadline of May, roll on through the CEH in June/July.

I'll then have to figure out which of the RHCSA/LPIC/MCSA to pursue. I am currently leaning towards LPIC, due to it being focused on Linux as a whole and not a specific distro. Not to mention with their partnership programs the LPIC-1 will also net me the Linux+ and SUSE Certified Linux Administrator certs.

I've been reading CCNP Switch and watching videos off an on for at least 2 1/2 months and reading books on IDS / IPS, sprinkled in with CISSP. My goal for 2014 is to complete CCNP and then tackle CISSP.

January 2014 -March 2014-- Finish reading CISSP and write in late March or early April
    June 2014 --CCNP / Switch
    July 2014 --CCNP / Route

For 2014 I plan to take up the following.

    Linux+
    CCNP R&S

Then look if my search for a new job will pay off then decide if the work requires Security/Voice/Wireless technology.

Picked up my Security+ last week
Just reading an MTA Server Admin (98-365) book and will take that soon.
Starting online CCNA classes through Stanly CC today.
On the waiting list for the VCP class at Stanly for this summer.
Before that I plan on studying for the 74-409 Hyper-V exam that Microsoft was giving away vouchers for.

I just got my first IT job in December and the hours are pretty slow so far, so maybe I'll have time to add an MCSA as well.
