I see you knocking out AIV1 in about 4 weeks time. That's how long I took.

MS and Comptia exams are similar. You have to show proficiency in minimum number of content areas, but not necessarily all areas.
You might be right, but it's harder to sell your "competency score" (aka passing grade) as equivalent to a B if it's not hitting that number statistically.

I was sorely mistaken, but jmasterj206 did tell me as much. Mind you, LAT1 is not difficult. It really isn't. It's just a friggin lot, and with work getting busy (yet another PeopleTools Upgrade...yay! ), I have been getting drained.

I do have 13 days of vacation left for the rest of the year, and next week I'm off....so whatever is not done this week, I'm spending the whole week next week wrapping up. Regardless of if LAT1/LUT1 is finished, WFV1 will be scheduled for that Saturday. I'm not really worried about it though as I have many HTML resources...that's really the only thing I needed to bone up on.

I had thought that I'd get 30-40 CUs.....but it's not happening. At best, after I'm done with these classes, I'm just going straight to AIV1 (70-642) and prepping straight for that. I do want to be a MCTS before the end of this year.... Then I will map out the next term to see what can be knocked out. If all goes well, that's 25 CUs.

So, two months went by and I still have 12 out of 19 CUs done. October should be a better month, I'm hoping.
    ERP,
I agree with you that LAT1 isn't hard. It is just a lot of busy work. It really depends on the graders too. Sometimes I would get the results in a day or even hours and others it took almost the full 72 hours. I did get a little angry at some of the grading tactics, because there just wasn't consistency between the graders.

I'm with you too on the 25 credits. I've seen a lot of people pull out the 30-40 cu's per semester and thought I could do the same, but I doubt it. I have my initial 13 credits done and have MGC1 scheduled for the 10/16 and hope to finish LET1 and ORC1 by the end of my term Jan. 31.

I still wonder why they changed that course from when I took it. LAT1 and LUT1 were just 1 class where you did the paper and the presentation. It was a long drawn out process since taskstream took forever on every one of my assignments but I just worked on the next task while witing for the grader to get around to grading the task.

Just passed the final math class today. 57% with a cut score of 56%. 45 CU done, I have 1 more month left of my term. I'm going to try my best to get ABV1 and HVC1 done by the end of term. Not sure it's going to happen though. Good luck to everyone else.

No, my last one was QLM1, I passed QLC1 awhile ago. I finished that in 4 hours. I had to wait the dang 2 weeks for the test to be scheduled for the other.

I finally got evaluated for my transfer credit from my 1st BA for this BSITDB.

I only have to take IT classes and EWB class. I am not working and no family, so I am wondering if I can complete well over 20 CU my first semester.

I am in a similar scenario, employed full time as a Systems administrator, Married with Children, plus I have a side business of computer repair. But, just like my wife said, it will work itself out as you go. This is something I have been wanting to do for a while, and WGU sounds like the perfect environment to do it in.

Sounds like you have a supportive wife. Nothing better than to have your spouse on your side!

    Default EWB done, yay!

Well EWB was not bad at all. Though I must say that 17 minute video on Taskstream was quite excessive, though luckily you can click through it

On to the real work and the fun stuff!!

I received a very lovely surprise at my PO BOX today. I got the WGU Welcome Kit!! No flash drive but I did get the coffee mug, binder, picture frame, stress ball that went to my dogs, and loads of post it notes, not to mention a WGU pen and a "do not disturb sign" for when I take those OLP exams (wifey told me to never use the sign where it says "I'm studying...." LOL. But I was firm on the testing one...). The same kit Veritas described that his buddy got. There is also a post card that I of course filled out that asks what size t-shirt I wear.

Yeah, that coffee mug is nice! But, as I said before...I did pay for it. LOL

Though...come to think of it, hoodies would be nice. I can't force myself to buy one if it's offered.

So whats the deal with TS? I've seen a lot of negatives, and I think I heard that it is being either fixed or done away with?

Same here (the graduate version). The thing that sucks is that EWB was already flagged as passed since I did the undergraduate version, but I still had to go through most of the steps. Including setting the email signature, posting to the communities (like I have never done that before), and taking all the little mini tests to make sure I understand how to navigate the portal. My mentor told me she can't set my AAV until they get a confirmation email from the EWB mentors. However the AAV should be set Monday and I have already started on the first class.

edit got the conformation email. Imho EWB (which includes a bunch of busy work) could be replaced with an faq.

I like Task Stream, what I didn't like was the inconstancy in graders. Just write to the rubric and your life will be much easier.
