    Default R2? Basic 2008

Hi Right now, I am reviewing for active directory, 70- 640, but I am a bit confused, what should I read, a book based on windows server 2008, or a book based server 2008 r2? This is for MCITP exam

Definately read anything Server 2008 R2 related if you are going for the 70-640 exam. The official books are ok but don't contain enough for the exam make sure you lab and read Mastering server 2008 R2 or similar books to broaden your knowledge where possible. Hope that helps.

If you plan on taking the exam you MUST study the R2 material. I had the 1st edition books and read those, then purchased another book that just covered the new material in R2.

There are some major additions in the R2 version of the server.
