for english exam takers - 83-640 is the only option now and has been like that for a few months. |

| 83-640 was the best MS exam I've ever taken.

| The 83-xxx exams are lab-based; the content is the same between the exams. I believe they're just doing test-runs in select areas at the moment.

| I believe it's a move towards increasing the integrity of the exams and making sure people can actually perform the tasks and not just dump some questions. I would wager that these types of exams will become more common as time goes on.

It would be nice if Microsoft updated the list of required exams on their website instead of having to hear it through the grapevine.

| Wow, I think this is a really good thing, since I think MS certs especially have always had this "paper-cert" stigma attached to them.
Me no likey the $199 price on Trancender's site for this new one though.... |
