Default And another bites the dust

Passed this morning with a 810! Nice to finally have that MCSA on the resume. The 298 is next on the list.

I mostly used the MS Press book and CBT Nuggets. Used MeasureUp and Transcenders for practice exams. Also had a couple servers and a client running in VMWare for practice although I didn't use that as much as I probably should have. Last minute brushing up was done with the MCSE in a Nutshell book by Oreilly.

Had one sim and the questions I think were spread pretty evenly across all the topics although there wasn't as much WSUS as I was expecting, maybe 3 or 4 questions.

    Congratulations!!!

I plan to take the Beast in less then 2 weeks.

Was the MSPress book sufficient enough for WSUS?

I noticed the MSPress Server book might do me better for WSUS...

    Thanks in advance.

For WSUS I just read the MS documentation on it for WSUS 2.0. I had seen a lot of people here say they had a lot of WSUS questions so my strategy was to make that a strong point and basically free points. As it turns out I probably only had 4 or 5 questions on it.

Congrats...I notice you're from Atlanta. Did you take your 291 at the center on Roswell Rd around 10:30 this morning? I was there for my 70-227 and heard someone else mention that he was taking 291.

Yep that is where I was! I was supposed to start my test at 10:30 but they didn't get me in until nearly 11 and then there was some sort of a problem with Prometric on the microsoft tests so we had to wait around until they got it fixed. Didn't actually start testing until 11:30.

Congrats! In my opinion after 291 it is all downhill from there, watch out for 298 though.

See now you are envious of all these 291 passes. When is yours scheduled? You know you wanna.

But not ON the 8th? What kind of superstition is that?

By the way, it may be coincidence, but my birthday is also either before or after May 8th, but not on May 8th. Spooky... :P
