    Default Beginning stages of Network+

    Hello,

I came across your site looking for Network+ cert books and I am liking the feedback. I am in the beginning stages of taking the N10-004 exam and was wondering if anyone had any advice, specifically a book recommendation. Reading through the forum it looks like CompTIA Network+ Study Guide from Sybex and the Meyers all in one Network+ come highly recommended. I have breifly read through both and they both look good but have not made a purchase. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jay

Let me start of by welcoming you to the forums. There are tons of very knowledgable people on here who have helped me out on numerous occasions.

For the Network+ exam, I mainly used Mike Meyer's Passport. All the topics were presented in an easy to ready, easy to digest manner. I also used the technotes found on this site as a supplement to that book. I can't give you any advice on those two books you mentioned though, as I haven't read any of them

Good luck on your studies depending on your level of experience the test is not difficult. I like te Sybex books as they tend to be a pretty easy read. Make sure you take a look at the Network+ technotes on this site lots of good info in there.

Network+ study guides, practice exams, training resources, and forums
