    Default Project+ Passed

Passed my Project+ yesterday with an 840 so not too bad. It was one of the easiest and yet most boring certs I have ever taken and I'm sooo glad I'm done with it. Studying for it was a chore as I found the subject matter dry and boring. I had a hard time due to my lack of interest but it's one class closer to my BS - IT Security!!

    Resources:

    uCertify study guide from WGU
    Sybex book by Heldman
    2017/2018 Certification Goals: MCSE (70-410,70-411,70-412,70-413)
*Associate's of Applied Sciences degree in Information Technology-Network Systems Administration
*Bachelor's of Science: Information Technology - Security, Master's of Science: Information Technology - Management
Matthew 6:33 - "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

Congrats! Not looking forward to this one. Going to start it next week after I hopefully crush CUV1 and BOV1 on Wednesday.

    Daking,

A bit off topic, but since your going to WGU; if you take and do the CompTIA and CCNA certs outside of the course does that reduce the BA's length drastically? - I presume you still need to to do normal college classes or no?

I have a BA from Marist College so I would presume there transferable? ie, english, math, science classes, etc.

The certifications that transfer in to WGU have to be within the last 5 years or less depending on if it's Cisco/Microsoft etc.. As for your classes I would guess most if not all would transfer but I would talk to an enrollment counselor with your specific general education courses. You will still likely have some college classes as some classes likely won't transfer everything into your BS degree. I hope this helps.

Congrats! One of my co-workers is studying for this exam right now, I think I may want to get it just to "check the box" as well in the future, next year though
