Default Is Project+ just for IT?

Hey guys, so I was looking around and from what I read on CompTIA's website and around; it would appear that Project+ is simply team leading on projects and the like. But is it IT focused or just so happen to be offered by a IT company? Like would it be good for anyone that wants to learn to be a project leader, or only in the IT field?

    Thanks everyone!

From what I have read it is geared towards IT project management.

CompTIA stands for Computing Technology Industry Association. It deals solely w/ IT certifications. The Project+ is geared only towards Information Technology project management.
    Goals for 2017:
RHCSA, RHCE, LFCS: Ubuntu | Project+ | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer | Learn Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Golang | Improve Python Programming

I had seen people make comparisons of it vs. other project certifications and thought it could just be project management in general. Though it does make more sense for it to be geared to IT.
    Thanks everyone

    Also, just so you know...

Project+ isn't comparable to other Project Management certs (PMP/CaPM) because, although it does follow life cycles and process management, it doesn't follow the PMBOK guide all the way. In fact, in P+, there are things missing.

Project+ is a good certification for entry level IT project managers - though I have read it isn't sought after for lots of companies.
    Kindly doing the needful
