Default CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

Hello to all. I am very interested in gaining certifications. I am guilty of going to linkedin and checking for people with the position that I can see myself having and checking for the certifications they possess. (Bad Habit, I know) I see a lot of the well seasoned infosec folks possess the SFPC certification. Has anybody every heard if this certification or know it's relation to DOD 8570.1? I see very limited information via the vendor's website and the people who have this certification are usually too high up the chain to ask outright.

I did some research and dug out some info. It's a component based OPM certification focusing on aspects such as Personnel security. It's not in the 8570.1. It is still fairly new (traced to around 2011). If you guys and gals know anything else about it please feel free to add or modify my original assessment.
