Certifications: A+ CCNA | SY0-201 Book I just completed the first 2 courses of the Cisco Net Academy and will be on summer break until the middle of August. I would like to get my Security+ in that time frame
I plan on getting the Sybex book and I want to get the Syngress book but the SY0-201 version is not released yet...
I've thought about going with the Sybex book and purchasing the Transcender software.
Do you all think the Sybex book, transcender software, and the great resources on this website will cover all the Security+ objectives good enough?
I currently deal more with Desktop support so I don't have any experience in the security area.
Just interested to see what peoples approach is to the SY0-201 exam. |

Certifications: CCNA, Security+, Network+, A+ | I have been looking online and its seems to me there is a new Syngress book, but it doesnt say SY-201 on it, it says second edition. I dont think the first one said SY-101 on it - correct me if I am wrong.
Now with this site, are the study guides here for the 201, its seems to me they are for the 101. how much will that matter?
Has anybody seen a Exam Cram practice questions book for the 201 like they have for the 101? I cant seem to find one. |

Certifications: A+ Net+ Security+ Server+ | Does Transender have the test for the 201 now?
If not, I would add Exam Cram with it. |

Certifications: MCT, A+, Net+, Security+, CISSP, MCSE, MCITP... | SY0-101 can still be taken As an option, you can take the SY0-101 exam if the objectives for the SY0-201 aren't familiar to you. The SY0-101 exam can still be taken until July 31, 2009. From CompTIA's perspective, once you're Secrutiy+ certified, you're Security+ certified for life.
In my experience, employers don't care which version of CompTIA certification you have. They only care if you have it.
There aren't a lot of SY0-201 study materials out there right now, but more are being added all the time.
