    Default DNS on 290?

    Hi guys,

I'm running into a few DNS (MX records, DNS pointers) questions on the Transcender 70-290 exam. I was under the impression that DNS was covered in the 291. Did anyone else devote study time to DNS for the 290?

there3 really is;nt alto on the exam but you should know the record types

they're not going to ask you complex DNS question but they mghit ask you some thing like

your able to ping by ip but not host name from any computer.

    what is wrong

    a. you can't ping by host name
    b. DNS server is down
    c. you made a typo
    d. why would u do that anyway

Excellent, I have a beginner background in networking but whole MX and Pointer records are a bit new too me. I didn't see any of it in the MS Press books so I figured it was just Transcender trying to frighten me again. =)

    Thanks!

I did not receive any on my exam, but it's a good idea to become familiar with them now in preparation for the 291 exam.
