    Default raid config

Lets say you have a server with drive c: and drive d:. drive d: is RAID configured. Drive c: needs to have a new Operating System installed. Will the installation to c: mess up the raid configuration on drive d:

Depends a bit on if the RAID set is created in the OS (software) or is a hardware RAID set (Using a RAID disk controller), but usually this can be done without any problems.

If the new OS is a new version, and the RAID is created in software, you should perform an upgrade.
