    Default binding NIC for redundancy

    Hi There,

    Will anyone will let me know how to binding NIC for redundancy so that two nic will have the same ip addr. So if one nic is damanged other one will take over.

    Certain NICS have software you can download in order to have failover NICS.

    Broadcom NICS have this software usually on Dell or HP's site. I know a couple of other brands do it.

    You can also do it on linux, some commands allows you to do it.
    In windows you would have to download the vendor's software.
