    Default VCP6-DCV Delta Beta Results?

Anyone find out their results from the VCP6-DCV Delta (2V0-621D)? Wondering if I should just start studying just incase I need to take the real thing in August.

Edit: nevermind; just read the bit about it taking around 8 weeks so it should be any time this month.

When we spoke to Josh, he said it was very "Soon" but that was it. The Dates have been released for when the GA exam will be starting. I have skipped studying for retaking it and am going through the VCAP blueprints at the moment (As there is no VCIX blueprints at the moment)

I must say, going through the VCAP resources is great, it's covering a lot more that was in the VCP than I thought.

It's actually 8 or so weeks after the beta period closes, not when you or I took it. So if you took it earlier in the beta like I did, we'll wait for the 8 week clock to start after everyone's finished taking it.

I may be wrong and I hope I am but I dont think the result will be out before the end of this month.

Surely you Delta guys aren't as worried as I am.. :S

Well I hope I pass, at $50 for the delta beta it was worth a shot. If I dont, I'd just take the VCIX when it comes out.

I'd love to explore one of the other tracts but my day to day work is so far removed from virtualization vs. when I first pursued VCP...i don't even have a production build to chew on with for vSphere 6. (vs. managing full vSphere 5 clusters).

Yeah, I've got a possible vCloud design opportunity that may go ahead.. but I don't know if I'll do that silo, or just stick with DCV and just change it for VCDX.

If I fail I will likely skip the DCV and concentrate on the CMA path.

Wasn't the easiest VCP I've done, so I'm also curious to see the results.. Especially since I'm a bit further removed from vSphere on a day to day basis.. Hoping it's released this month, but it could also be the first (two) weeks of August.

If not released this week, I would have thought Monday next week at the latest. Thinking they should be out by the time the GA exams are live.

The first final exam appointments aren't til August 30th - I wouldn't expect beta takers to get their result much before then, if before then at all...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but VCP5-DCV - VCP6-DCV is a valid migration path? I've received exam authorization already for VCP6. I'm asking because I've had a counterpart tell me that VMware stated you HAVE to take a eligible class before you can receive your VCP6 certification.

If you have sat the 5.x Class and the VCP5 exam and have been awarded the VCP5 certification, you just need to take the VCP6-Delta exam to upgrade, you do not need to sit a 6.x class.

Don't let your VCP expire, and you're good. Have a look at the Migration Paths tab here: https://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/pl...78&ui=www_cert

Thanks Scott. I knew it I saw it somewhere. There seems to be a lot of confusion out there in regards to VCP6 classes and exams.

Saw a VMWare employee got his DCV result already so I got in touch with education and response :"Results are gradually rolled out with the majority being scored by August 31".

Don't remember the exact wording, but something asking those lines. Bottom line: End of August.

They're really going to make us wait until Aug 31st, aren't they?

BTW check your prometric/vue history page. This will update first to reflect if you passed or failed

I wouldn't hold my breath, they've indicated they'd release the results by the end of August, you never know till they actually come out! Having said this, I hope they do. Dont know where I read it, but some people have already received their results, these folks were VMW employees. So they've been making progress, albeit very slowly.

I sat in a PSO boot camp and most guys had their result already. Asked Education then 'wtf' and they insisted that results are being rolled out slowly but not before the 31st. Smelled fishy to me but I did see those credential so the vmw guys didn't make it up. I don't hold my breath either but mainly due to the fact I doubt I passed lol
