    Default VMCE - writeup!

Recently I had the pleasure to go to VeeamOn conference in New Orleans, one of the reason was to get the training for the VMCE certification. As it was at the convention, it was much cheaper than onsite or virtual class( 3000$USD compared to 1599$ USD for 2 day training, partner day, and 2 days convention + free voucher for the exam).

Training was ok and honest but not awesome. It covered the required material.

I took the test after the 2 days training, but in those kind of convention, there is so much to do and to drink lol. So I failed my exam (65%, 70% required on 50 questions). The exam was not that though but it covered all part of the Veeam suite of software.

Last week, less than 2 week after my first try, I wrote sucessfully the exam with 82%. The exam seem a tad tougher than first time, but it worked.

Now I am VMCE, and eventually I will get the VMCA (Veeam Architect cert).

I am sorry to tell you that like VMware they require you to attend the class. Even if the exam is not very high level. The textbook we receive was mostly an annoted User Guide.
