    VCA-DCV is redundant now.

There is now just a single VCA, VCA-DBT: https://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrReg/pl...17&ui=www_cert

Take a class with a VMware IT Academy while you still can. Changes are coming down the pipe this year from VMware.

Foundations exam is prerequisite for 3 VCP certification: VCP-DCV, VCP-NV and VCP-CMA.
VCA-DBT is a standalone certification without prerequisites.

Almost, there’s also the DTM VCP - vSphere Foundations is part of it too.

On it’s own, passing the vSphere Foundations exam gives you nothing. You would also need to pass a VCP exam, and take an authorised training class, in order to achieve a certification.
