From what I've heard from some WGU people, Vista is easier. Or maybe the study material was better

    The vista exam is easier.

The windows 7 exam is worth more, on many levels.

I personally am taking the Windows 7 exam because I think it will hold more weight in the future. This will be my first Microsoft exam also. I have heard that Vista is the easier exam but I would rather learn valuable information that I can use in the future.

If you havent done XP, do those then 7. I don't see how taking Vista exams would be bad, if you do the 271-272 you get the MCDST then take the 621 then the 682 when it comes out, and you have them all covered. If youre looking to do support then knowing XP is going to be important, even if not the cert the knowledge will be b/c there are MANY differences between XP and 7, and without really getting granular into them you might know from just using them both.
